    it could be true. Alot of Morrison's songs deal with Louisiana. "Baby Please don't go" comes to mind. He also did a lot of collaboration with the likes of Dr. John and Randy Newman.

    Not sure. Dr. John was. Newman is from Louisiana, and uses Louisiana in a lot of his songs.

    Jimmy Buffet is the rumor source

    In the booklet in jimmy buffet's box set (boats, beaches, bars, and ballads) I think he stated that van morrison's stadium was tiger stadium.

    What about Tupelo Honey? That's Mississippi, real close. So maybe some ties to the area from maybe a songwriting collaborator.

    Spent a lot of time here in the late sixties and early seventies ...
