I forgot to add that Arkansas 3 game sweep was at home in Baton Rouge.:dis:

A little factiod for ya...Miami went something like 28 years (1973-2001) without being swept at home in a 3 game series until Cal State-Fullerton did it to us a few years ago.:thumb:

    tirk,

You are getting slammed in this thread. :thumb:

Sometimes when you don't know about a topic, it's just best to keep quiet and appear to know nothing, rather than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. You could of at least looked up the real facts and numbers before you attempted to prove your point.

The best part of this thread is when you brought in Robbie Morrison & 1996 into the conversation.

Too bad all that 1996 talk has nothing to do with this year. You guys will point out how this year's seedings have nothing to do with the CWS, but you guys keep bringing up 1996? What bearing will that have on this year's CWS? Good thing that Miami is a good enough program where we don't have to live 8 years in the past.

Let me speak slower.... we play 10 SEC series. you see a series is 3 games in college baseball when you play in a real conference. LSU won 2 of 3 games in 9 of those 10 series. The SEC has 4 teams in the CWS. LSU is tested....Canes are weak and will be exposed....well not weak but I'm confident Alex Box North will be your undoing as it was the last time we met. Once all the people there start reminding your team about those ghosts Im sure they'll be tight as hell and prone to make more mistakes. Thats what playing all your games at home will cost you.

Miami is 5-4 away as of June 13. Omaha is away and a minimum of 4 games. Miami doesnt seem to have much of away experence. all players seem to get rilled in omaha there first time it doesnt matter how much away experience but with very few fans and an over powering amount of LSU fans it will be difficult for them to play well here. Though the key to Omaha peoples sarts is today and how they treat people today... after today you will know which teams are liked and not liked .

    OmahaLSUFan...

This UM team has 8 position players (7 of whom will be starting) that played in last year's CWS as well as 5 pitchers (2 starters). The experience of Omaha won't be the reason this team falls short...

wait til these memories come back.

A home run haunts the Hurricanes in Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. - Shortstop Alex Cora crumpled to the ground. Second baseman Rudy Gomez stood stunned.

Warren Morris' drive had just cleared the right-field fence for a two-out homer in the bottom of the ninth, giving LSU a 9-8 victory over Miami and seizing the 1996 College World Series championship from the Hurricanes.

''There's no question it's the most traumatic thing I've ever gone through as a coach,'' Hurricanes coach Jim Morris said.
