I think thats how we always try to do it in our home. If you go back and think about the beginning drives for our opponents... 1.) Its freaking LOUD in T.S. 2.) Why not show them who's house they are in 3.) Because its loud, gives our Defense adrenaline and they want to hit something 4.) Intimidation is a B****. When you start the game out blitzing...you will make the opposing QB scared...if hes scared, he wont make smart decisions.
Do I think the player intentionally meant to do helmet to helmet? No. Do I think Les told him to give the QB a wake up call? Yes. Who doesn't want to smack the QB on the very first drive?
Or the other sack Beckwith had when the Tui was scrambling and Beckwith launcked himself like a missile into tui's chest, that was one of the hardest hits I have seen in a while. I actually think I heard the announcer on TV say OMG.
Beckwith looks great. he is a beast. I def. think this week will be his coming out party on a national stage.
From the camera angle they were showing, you could see Beckwith closing fast...Everybody I watched the game with was yelling before he even got there. You could see it coming. That was a GREAT hit. Joe T.
