Actually we went 10 minutes without a FG tonight. So I guess 24 minutes isn't normal either.

Some people are quick to point tha we have freshman playing with little experience. That is a cope out. We are in game 15. Do you have Duke making excuses when they reload? Did Michigan not go the the Championship game with the Fav 5? We have young people with some seasoned leadership on this team - that is no excuse for this offensive drought.

This is a horrible shooting LSU team. Horrible may be an under statement. This team relies on defense to win games. At this point in the season and it is still early, LSU had displayed that they desperately miss Collis Temple III, Ronald Dupree and Torris Bright. 49 points is just bad.

LSU has beat really two quality teams all year Utah and Alabama and those teams are not even Top 30 teams.

The reason LSU is struggling is they cannot beat the zone at this point. Ole Miss is strictly a man-to-man team on defense and they played mostly zone tonight.

Lloreda is a good player but cannot shoot outside 5 feet. Shaquille is probably a better free throw shooting than Lloreda. Lloreda leave too many points at the line.

Bass is the real deal. IMO, Bass is better than Lloreda hands down. Both compliment each other well.

Hudson would not be a starter on most SEC teams. He is in a 1 1/2 year shooting slump. He is tentative, which compounds his problems.

Koundjia is a project. He has a lot of athletic ability, but is a liability on the court. He is no threat to score, which compounds the zone problem. HE DOES NOT DESERVE TO START. At best, he should be 10-15 minutes a game.

Whipple at times plays well, but is not the future for LSU at point guard. He is tentative to take an open shot. He is struggling and hesitate to penetrate and defeat the zone and forces too many passes inside this resulting in turnovers.

Minor is young but shows moxy and the things I like to see in a point guard - quickness, confidence and decisiveness.

Brady could not have not said it better – Ineptness. He also said this was bad loss.

Ole Miss will finish just ahead of Arkansas in the West for the battle for last place.

Brady needs to geaux. His teams have STRUGGLED against joke teams. Is LSU better off from the time Brady took over? No.

Track & Field, Baseball, Football, Women's basketball and softball have ALL fielded extremely good teams recently, while Brady is still dragging us down. I have shut my mouth and been patient long enough.

    Time for him to go.

Brady does not coach these guys to shoot the outside shot. Tell me a better coach wouldn't have us winning these game?

it pains me to say this, but i may be waffling on my wildly pro-brady stance. but then again there is a alot of basketball to be played. and the guy does make his kids play hard as hell on defense. i dont know why the shots wont fall, is it bad offensive execution, or is it just shots that dont fall, and could have, and will later this season. i guess we will see.

i mean if we turn it around (and we have plenty of time this season) and make the tournament and win a game there, i will be right back singing his praises. but i am definitely frustrated now. losing to ole miss. man, that hurts.

    martin,

I'm not a Brady Basher either but I have to say that he's at the
point where he's going to fix it or lose it.

Most people know around here that I've stuck up for him.

    Heres the problem:

The problem is the offense has been struggling the last 2 games
    really bad.

Against State LSU's offense went 14 minutes without a field goal,
the defense wasn't any better either, go look at the boxscore.

State shot 60% 1st half for 3's and 50% for the game, LSU would've lost this game no matter what!

What troubles me is this isn't the 1st game people have played a
zone against us and shut down our offense.

Lapses of 14 minutes without scoring and 10 minutes in 2 games
all year isn't normal much less back to back games.

This shows me that Brady hasn't fixed the offense yet.

WE don't have the personnel to play a inside outside offense.

Besides, If a team is struggling offensively and your offense isn't
    working, What do you do??

You certainly don't stick with the same offense!

The problem here isn't the losses as much as how it happened.

You can win and be successful playing true freshmen in college basketball ... so this excuse don't fly with me!

I've never been a huge Brady fan, but I've always wanted him to be successful b/c that would be best for LSU.

It'll be interesting to see if he can turn this team around like he did down the stretch last year. Consistency has always been a huge problem for Brady.
