    I'm a little surprised Skip did this, but it was a business decision, and not a personal one. Sounded like Smoke could either be fired or be forced to resign...either way he's out.

I would say the alarming decrease in attendance was indeed a big factor but I think politically Skip didn't have much of a choice even if he wanted to give his pal another season to turn things around. I probably would of accepted another season if he would of cleaned out the assistants, especially Brady "I stayed at a Holiday Inn last night" Wiederhold, but the overall decay of the program was apparently too much for Skip to withstand.

    There's nothing like a fresh start and I'm excited about the future. Skip did a good job of hiring Les, let's hope he can do better with this baseball hire.
