How do you define "spectacular?" He is building a new baseball stadium, and oversaw the renovation of Tiger Staduim. Those two things by themselves are pretty significant. He hired Coach Miles. We won't know what kind of a hire Mainieri is for two or three years, but most people would say right now that appears to be a good hire. The one misstep he took was hiring Laval. I would say his pluses far outweigh his minuses. An average AD? No, he desereves a much better evaluation than that.
We need to Honor and Remember Coach Skip forever at LSU. He's done a lot for us. Thanks, Skip. You can sail with me anytime.
I hate cliches but the "Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once and a while" is so tempting here........guess I won't say it.
Bertman has already endorsed Radakovich(man I was way off with the spelling before) for the AD job. Read the rest of the article here: http://www.shreveporttimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070215/SPORTS0202/302150004/1028
Skip has been the best AD at LSU in my lifetime and I go back to Jim Corbett. Almost all of our athletic programs are rated, the facilities are some of the best in the country. What he has done to the PMAC is unreal; honoring the great Tigers of the past, something LSU has failed to do before. I have not picked up the paper in some time and read about a Tiger being arrested or doing something to embarrass LSU and their families. That my friends starts at the top.
