It's late and i'm bored. I wanted to see who you thought had the 2nd best football team in Louisiana. This is only limited to division 1A football.
Second best football team? Probably the Saints. I don't know how good Tulane will be this year. USL and ULMs programs both totally suck. LA Tech is a bit down the last couple of years after being a pretty good mid major type team for several years. It could be that Division 1AA Mcneese is the second best college team.
None of the above .. for a school with good athletics and good solid academics try McNeese .. I'm an LSU fan from long ago .. and love the Tigers .. but cost of education dictated a smaller school .. McNeese .. and I have competed with graduates from .. LSU, Rice, Stanford, Arizona, ASU (my daughter went to LSU.. graduated from ASU and has masters from ASU ..), Auburn, Alabama, Miss State, Michigan, Ohio, Northwestern .. and the Ivy Leagues in my life's journey.. and stayed with them or ahead of quite a few of them .. So I say Geaux Tigers... and Cowboys (there can be nothing wrong with a school who's fight song is Jolie Blonde......)
Look out for Southeastern! Hal Mumme has had a couple of years to buy a complete offense and defense - two deep!
Well, UNO is the next biggest school in the state, but since they are part of the LSU system I guess they don't count. Its a basketball school anyway.
