SabanFan...You talking about Little Don's, not Country Mart, right? Don Menard sold Little Don's a couple of years ago before he opened Don's Country Mart in Carencro.

I love the cracklins at Little Dons. Just the right spice. The boudin is pretty good, too. Although I am partial to Sunset Specialty Meats, since its in the family.

Little Don's is just off the East Side Service Road in Carencro, south of 182. It is right on the south side of one of the overpasses (can't think which highway that is...might be 725? Might be Bernard St?). Its not far from DCM.

Sunset Speciality Meats...Head N on I-49 from Lafayette. Take the Sunset/Grand Coteau Exit (About 1/2way between Laf and Opelousas). Go left under the interstate (Don't speed). You will come to a tee intersection at LA 182 (complete stop, cop hides in bushes). Turn right, and it is about 1/2 mile on the left side.

I was referring to Little Dons. The service road is off Hwy 726. I'll have to check out Sunset Specialy Meats. If it's better than Little Dons I've got to have some.
