In my opinion if we get Jaime Lloreda back i want LSU to get an 8th or 9th seed meaning if they win they would most likely have a #1 seed waiting on them. LSU was in this same position last year. But I think if we get Lloreda back and get matched up with Saint Josephs this team could make some noise in the Touranment. But first things first Ole Miss senior day please come out LSU needs this win in the worst way.
This team needs to just take one game at a time and try to improve and play consistant good ball. I would rather be seeded lower and play a team we are more likely to beat so this young team can get some confidence and maybe play more than one game in the tourney. The farther we go this year the more it helps us for next yearIMO.:geaux: :lsug:
A lot of people now have us projected at 8. In a way I'd prefer a lower seed so you don't have to play a 1 seed in the second round. I know talking about the second round is premature for this inconsistent team, but everyone's dream for the tournament is to go a long way. If you drop to 11 seed then you play a 3 seed and if you are 12 or 13 you play a 4 or 5. Obviously the down side to lower seeding is that there's a better chance at one-and-done. There is a clear drop off after 8-10 teams. It would be nice to only play them in later rounds.
i thought i read that jaime was done for the season. we just need to get the #2 seed in the west so we can get the bye
Ditto....... I would like to see Jaime back however this team is going to have to learn how to not rely on him every minute he's in the game. We have to learn how to play without him since he won't be back next season and maybe not the rest of this year.
Any of you people been watching LSU basketball the past 2 weeks? Especially you TygerTail. A #2 Seed??????????? This team is on a 4 game losing streak and has a more than decent chance of losing the last 2 SEC games, giving LSU a 7-9 record. More than likely that will be give the Tigers a round-trip ticket to the NIT. This must be LSU's version of neverland here in this thread.
The best case scenario: Beat the Rebels & the Villians, and win a game in the SEC tourney, let the chips fall.
I don't think anyone was talking about LSU as a 2 seed just that if LSU got lucky they could maybe draw a weak 2 seed in the second round.
