I think we can put the "except for Bob Stoops" part of the equation to rest. One question: Would A Nick Saban coached team get trashed like the Sooners got trashed in a conference championship game? I don't think so.
Ditto Sabanfan, I think its remarkable what Nick has achieved in just 4 years at LSU. Theres no way you could've told me 4 years ago that an LSU football team would be as good and where we are this morning. Even with Nick hired I thought it would've taken longer, look at his record at Mich. St. I think its been relatively "easy" here at LSU and I hope the Chancelor and AD will take care of Nick and his staff. After all the years of the coaching couresel, If Nick suddenly left it would crush me. Its funny when you look back at all the coaches we've had and they haven't even come close to this. Its also funny, actually Scary, The records we set in the Sugar Bowl when we were there as well in the SEC CG. I hope we play USC for Sugar because I don't think Ok deserves it now. I really think that this Tiger team is something else now and I certainly don't see a threat of Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl. I personnally think the way we're playing we would beat OK just as bad as Georgia. The Auburn, Alabama. Florida, Georgia fans better take notice, theres a new sheriff in town and his name is Nick Saban.
Saban looks like "coach of the year" to me. We weren't in the pre-season mix, aren't supposed to be where we are. He has done more with talent that the experts did not recognize, than anyone I see out there.
