There were a lot of LSU people in the crowd...I would say we had equal numbers to the Duke contingent. ACS is American Chemical Society. I'm an attorney and I manage our publications copyright office. Big meeting in Atlanta this weekend and thru the coming week. :geauxtige
It was about 80% Duke fans until about 10 minutes left in the 2nd half. At that point, the WV fans and Texas fans started making their way into the stadium. Everyone that wasn't a Duke fan, wasn't necessarily pro-LSU, but rather anti-Duke. I've never in my life seen so much of animosity towards a team. It was diehard Duke fans vs. diehard Duke haters. As the Duke fans left, you couldn't help but notice how much basketball means to these people. Every single kid under the age of about 9 was crying his/her eyes out and you couldn't help but feel bad for them. Even the grown men were on the brink of tears.
saw that too... basketball means to them what football means to us. I don't feel that way however as I am as big a basketball fan. I was at the peach bowl and the champ game... we had a good crowd but not a typical vocal crowd that is the case at football games. Maybe one day.... By the way.. we were much better represented than tejas.
