1. Yeah in 2001.
  2. True that.

I'm watching (LSU commitment) John Williams from Breaux Bridge against Teurlings right now. He's an Early Doucet type and is a man among boys in HS. So far he's had a 58 yard TD run from the QB position, a 50 something yard TD catch as a wideout and a 60 something yard punt return for a TD in which he ran into his own player, broke a couple tackles and cut against the grain to get free. Oh, and he also intercepted a pass as free safety.
  3. I probably know a few guys you played football with.
  4. Williams will get his ass handed to him next friday.
BB will claim another state title after the bulldogs whip them.

  5. Jamaican Dartez
  6. Did he play for Tulane? He sounds familiar.
  7. That's what I'm wondering!

Peyton is 30 ...Eli is 25....
  8. See my post a few posts up.

  9. I knew that if I scrolled down far enough, I'd find this statement from you. :hihi:
  10. a good friend of mine went to St. Paul's and was in awe of Nilo Sylvan...as my friend was one with considerable football knowledge, all the stuff I heard about him would put him up there with Faulk and Dunn. Josh Reed (Rayne) and LaBrandon Toefield (Independence) also had some pretty good HS careers, even though Toefield was injured for a good bit of his Senior season.

for myself, I'd have to say Derrick Douglas who I played with at Captain Shreve in the mid 80's. guy was just thunderous, never went down with just one guy on him...he had some amazing runs, if I remember right, he had six 200+ yd games his Senior season. he held the career rushing record for Caddo/Bossier (until Troy Edwards broke it) and he didn't even play football until his Junior year. went on to break the career rushing total at La. Tech, got drafted late by the Bucs, got cut and tried to catch on with the Browns and Packers but it just didn't work out for him.

there was a kid who played at Haynesville probably around early 90's, Bobby Ray Tell, that guy was good. went to see them and Evangel play and he got like 180 on 7 carries plus returned a punt for a TD. this was when Josh was QB in HS...Haynesville just thrashed Evangel
...I can remember one Evangel fan screaming towards the Haynesville team, "Why don't y'all pass the ball?!" my friend turns around to him and says, "Ya can't stop em from runnin, why do they need to worry about passin?"

can't let this go without the mention of Tony Moss who went on to play for the Tigers. really, he carried his Bossier HS team for four years. lettered for four years in football, basketball, baseball and track. pretty much un-equaled in terms of value to his team. QB in football, PG in basketball and All-District in both...don't remember what he did in baseball or track (running events I'm pretty sure). he was a good one.
