Jajuan Dawson, My senior year in HS he was a wide receiver, Hahnville was in our district and it was probably about the 8th or 9th game and not one team had even scored on them that season yet. Opening KO, our retrun man took a knee at the 7 yard line (damn idiot). Got in the huddle, Jajuan says no worries, then took a skinny slant 93 yards for a TD. We ended up losing the game, but dude could play ball.

He ended up going to Tulane and played with Shawn King, then to the Houston Texans, played pro for about 5 years, then I think he was cut a couple of years back or so. Great guy, amazing athlete.

Todd Kinchen - Beat Bucky for LA Athlete of the year. Although Todd and BO were a year older I like Bo played on the team Todd PLayed for in High School (I wasnt very good so I didnt play college)
Watching Todd play sure at the time is 1-AA was watching a man among boys. He was pure athletic ability, baseball, tennis, track doesnt matter he won everything he competed at.

Great overall athlete. And he was a nice guy as well. Matter of fact the few times I did get to block for him he would grab the back of my jersey and throw me into opposing players.. Of course my sloth like speed probably was the reason because I was in essence a orange pileon for him. Man he was good.

Never looked down on us "lesser" players...

PS - I am moving back to Texas - Can I have my old name back ?

Only the first name is needed....Dalton. He was flat ridiculous, but in the early 80's in Patterson, not many people saw him.

To the person who posted about Michael Jackson, he actually played QB at Kentwood, Southern Miss converted him to WR.

Yes that is correct, didnt they also had a LB named Darion Conner who I believed played for the Falcons for awhile. Kentwood rolled over my highschool in the playoffs my junior year. Bo will remember that game.

Jackson did play QB in HS. Kentwood had a Tackle named Mickey Joseph (I think that was his name, he was like 6' 8" and 340lbs, big back then, not so much any more, but signed with LSU and never qualified). Their play calling was pretty simple... QB sweep right behind Joseph and then QB sweep left behind Joseph. That dude could fly.

He and Brett Farve had a pretty good college career at SM. Stacy Dennis, our QB in that game ended up splitting time with Brett at QB the first couple years before Stacy broke his hip against Auburn. There were probably 10-12 guys from that game that ended up playing D-I ball.

Best athlete I played against was a WR and kick returner for Newman that played when Peyton was there. I can't remeber his name. Ben Jacobs I think. I think it was Peyton's firat year at quarterback. He torched us for 2 TDs and was unbelivebaly fast. I saw him play against some team in the Superdome where he had like 3 TDs (2 on kick retruns). Best iI've played against.

Sadly, it took CHEF (homeschooling association) too long to develope a football league, so I was never able to play high school football. To this day, it's a void that'll never be filled. Man, if only...

Anyway, this may not count, but talking with my dad, he said that Hokie Gajan had incredible heart and could run over anyone. He remembers getting run over a few times in practice by Hokie.
