    Bama/ND in 73, New Year's Eve Sugar Bowl Game. I was there, a great game.

    who do you remember as far as players on those 2 teams? i cant even guess.

    The Teague steal was one of the greatest plays I've ever seen made on a football field. It was stunning AND shocking.

    It looked like a sure Hurc TD and then Bama was in scoring position...

    I hadn't seen anything like it before and I haven't seen it again since.

    That '83 Orange Bowl with the Schnellenberger crew winning UM's first title against Nebraska with the Kosar 2 point conversion toss was great, too...

    someone remember who the WR was? I think he was pretty famous. Not a superstar but played in the pros i think. not sure though.


    ah so it was teague. thought so.

    must also admit I enjoy watching Bama run that old style offense to perfection against such a skill team in Miami. I was a Bama fan that year when I watched them. Stallings was a class act...even though he looked like a marionette...I could see the strings controlling him. especially his mouth.
