Better than throwin the old shrimp away

Had no plans on fishing this weekend but went to clean an ice chest and there were about a dozen old shrimp still down in the icy water so off to the pond we go. Didn't fish 30 minutes threw 5 cats and a big shell cracker on the string and headed up to the house.

 

Be ready to splain to Tigerchick what a "shell cracker" is. She's going to think it's something sold at the Lions Den off exit 72 on I-10.

 

I'll give it to you, that one made me laugh and yes what the hell is a shell cracker ? Turtle?

 

Shell cracker is one of the best eating hardest fighting panfish there is.

thanks but dont let him fool you......he is buck wild as a they come (wouldnt want it any other way) but he is the happiest little sucker I have ever seen. Def looks more like his momma than me luckily.
