wrong again, Bohner backed away from that deal because he couldnt get the votes. You posted one article from a conservative with a "reputation of telling the truth" and cited other media outlets with zero proof. You are fooling no one. They should have taken that deal. I never said you listed to foxnews, etc, if you do thats fine, you are still in a vacuum, the right lost the election, of course you play election politics during an election and if you win you have political capital and recent polls have a majority of people backing his plan on taxes. Samething Bush did when he was reelected. Your argument is shit and it is documented. I dont listen to any talking points, I seek the information for myself and present it.

Both sides shifted position in 2011, but Bohner and Obama was at a point of agreement on the grand bargin and he couldnt get it through to his members of the house. Its that simple, so they voted on sequester and now want to rescind most of it.

Read the book sport. It is in their own words. BHO and Boehner had an agreement and BHO added $400 billion in tax increases blowing up the deal. The entire book shows how little leadership BHO provided over the whole 4 years of his term. It shows how poorly he treated everyone from the Rs to his own party to the businessmen that supported him.

The debate over the budget deal is only on instance of BHOs poor leadership. That is the whole point of the post. President Obama was elected to be a leader. Did the Rs obstruct and fight him every step of the way? Absolutely in fact how many posts do you see me making backing their actions? Few if any. Obama has shirked his responsibility since he was inaugurated and acted like the smal time Chicago pol he is. FDR, LBJ, RR and BC were partisans but when times required it they acted like the leaders they were and found a way to do the right thing. I am still waiting for BHO to do that.

    You idiot, me tarzan.

    Try 12 million umemployed.

    http://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.nr0.htm

Meanwhile the GDP has steadily increased, employment has steadily dropped, and the stock market has risen.

The indigent have never been included, so why try to invent more unemployed people just because its Obama? Dishonesty?

I'm afraid we'll look back on these years and realize, this is where we had to get it right and we didn't. It's not on BHO alone or the republicans alone. I actually think they came to a fair deal on taxes. The rich pay more and that number is around 450k and not 250k. However, they did nothing to curb spending. Not a goddamn thing. In fact, you can pretty much argue the increased spending. No politician has the balls to cut spending. It's ridiculous. The republicans are a fucking joke. So is the president. The fact that people are celebrating this deal is ridiculous. Kick the can down the road. And the fact that some here will argue that we don't have a debt problem is even funnier.

    Jeez, where have you been?

He changed policy and we are not fighting an endless, useless war in Iraq.

He redirected the effort against Al Qaeda to their hideouts in Pakistan where he has stepped up very effective missile strikes.

We are drawing down the useless war against the local Taliban in Afghanistan.

He enacted stimulus measures so that the Bush recession was ended in 6 months and did not turn into a depression.

All economic markers have steadily improved since the Bush recession.

All Americans will soon be insurable and have private health insurance. The socialist medicine of the Charity Hospitals can be done away with.

He ordered the risky and daring raid that killed Osama bin Ladin.

He defeated the Republicans agenda in winning a second term and in restoring the old tax rate to the rich, supported overwhemingly by the public.

    . . . I could go on.

Did you forget all of these things or are you just being a GOP shill. You listen to Limbaugh too much.

Your turn . . . what exactly are these "failures" that you accuse Obama of? Where is a lack of leadership? He led all of these efforts!

No, we can't debate with books, ace.

You haven't read the books that I have . . . I haven't read the books that you have. If you got anything out of them, then make your own points. Cite the book to back you up, by all means, but conduct your own debate, please.

We ended up with a deal that increases deficits through a combination of less revenue and more spending. And I thought the goal was to do the opposite.

Of note : Barry signed the wiretapping bill, further proving he is a liar and not keeping his promises but again doing the right thing and following bush the way he should.
