Nah, just pointing out the hypocrisy of someone saying they stress "discipline and restraint" when recruiting and ignoring the problems they have had.

We all know that the only school in the Big Ten (or the nation, for that matter) that does everything right in recruiting is Iowa. Everyone else cheats. I'm surprised the Big Ten commish didn't point that out. He musta figured everyone knew it.

The Heisman comparison means very little. Everyone knows the Heisman Trophy award is just a big popularity contest.

The Heisman became bullsh*t these years...I cant understand how a QB like Troy Smith would get it:confused:

It seems to me that we've seen just how good the Big 10, 11 and 12 is the last few years in the post season in football.
Whether they take a shot or not they fall short to the USC's, LSU's and Florida's of the world.

I agree. That's why I laughed with people thinking McKight's decision to go to USC was about the Heisman.....and I may be wrong but IMO, it's lost much of it's value. Not to mention the curse it's become for qb's.

It has lost value to the fans, but not to the players. They still dream about winning the Heisman.

the "and 12" must be ND, I'm guessing... never been sure why they get added in, but whatever...
The Big Ten has had a tough go with SoCal over the past few years... who hasn't... how did the SEC do against them over the same span?
On the "of the world" other teams, how have the Gators done, I'm thinking 2-3... LSU is 1-1 over the past few years...
Florida's win over tOSU was a big win for the conference, but let's not get carried away....
