Well, there is JAMARCUS RUSSELL (clearly the best player of the year), Calvin Johnson, D-Mac, Brady Quinn (in case all other options FAIL!!), but Troy Smith??? I really question the mental health of the committee...
don't forget colt brennan the guy who broke the TD record AND completed 70% of his passes. And i know you didn't actually say Brady Quinn
Hell no!! I would take Quinn any day over Brennan. At least Quinn played on a decent team, not freaking Hawaii!!! I mean I can put a highschool QB over there and he'll guide them to an 11-2 season..
I guess I'm crazy but I'd take Brennan: He led his team to margins of victory of more than 60 points in 4 games this past season- 68 against Fresno (We scored 38), 41 against Az State. Only 17 against Bama but we only hung 28 on them by comparison. He's the real deal imo. :thumb:
You're right, Quinn did play on a decent team, just imagine what Brennan would do given the "talent" that ND has. I mean, Quinn blew it in the 3 big games but they had a similar schedule aside from that and Brennan dominated it. Anyways this is way off topic from the original topic, but if a guy like Colt Brennan has one of the greatest seasons of all time for a quarterback and isn't even mentioned for the heisman it makes you really think who can win it.
Wow, to tell you the truth, I didnt know those scores. But he must have some crazy a$$ OC that likes to play some wild a$$ open offense. But I still take Quinn over Brennan, its freaking Hawaii!! I mean COME ON!!
Thats true, he should've been mentioned. But I still stand by my point of view, Russell should've been the winner:hihi: , and Quinn is a better QB than Brennan..
That's what I said when UAB came to Baton Rouge a while back too. :hihi: Seriously though, check this out: :thumb: http://www.hawaiiathletics.com/coach_bio.html?pid=3&coachid=22 You do know their DC is Jerry Glanville huh.
Nothing against you, Hurricane, but that is exactly how the voters think and that is exactly what makes the Heisman a big popularity contest. He plays for "Notre Dame", so he must be more deserving of the trophy. Yeah, Quinn did well against the Navy, Army, and Air Forces of the world. Not so well against good competition, but because he plays for "The Irish", he's a more worthy candidate. You see how that make no sense?
