That's true, it does make sense. But doesnt it make sense to give it to the best player of the year, kind of like the MVP and ROY awards. I mean it clearly should be between Russell, Calvin Johnson and D-Mac, those are the best 3 guys out there...:thumb:

 

I agree, give it to the most deserving no matter who they play for.

 

I thought in '99 that Shaun Alexander should have won it... but I figured Ron Dayne won it more on his lifetime accomplishments. It was pretty much a "if he breaks the record, he automatically wins the Heisman".

I wonder if Tyrone Prothro could have won it in '05 if he hadn't gotten injured... *sigh*
