Glenn has always been a media favorite, and that would likely increase his draft stock a little too.

I think he could've been a late first round pick at his old size, but really felt he needed to drop 20-30 lbs. He went and dropped 50... Was it too much? We'll see, but I think as long as it shows up in his vertical he'll be a better player for it.

according to someone on tigerdroppings this was Big Baby in June. Its good that he is dropping weight to improve quickness, but he doesn't need to lose any more weight then this.

Not to be redundant, but here's Sporting News' version of the Big Baby story...

    http://www.sportingnews.com/yourturn/viewtopic.php?t=107163 :)

This one is even better than ESPN's version, because it's just about Big Baby.

So, what have we learned, kids:

    1. If you're on a winning program, stay in school if you're not a bonafide lottery pick. The media attention will help you (lesson to Brandon Bass).

    2. It helps to be a media darling. LSU's Brady and the rest of the kids will probably get interviewed more this year b/c of the Final Four and Baby's personality, than in a long time. More important, watch where we start off in the polls (probably too high, but such is the price of fame).

    3. Big Baby has a chance for NBA stardom. I like his chances considering what the scouts saw, and who were counselors last year.

    4. Gotta love the leadership and fire from this kid. Big Baby is a great athlete and player, but he's an even better influence probably on this team. He will be hard to replace, but I hope the future generation of Tigers pay close attention to what he's become and I hope the coaches are recruiting guys of this kid's character.

LSU! :bball: :champs: LSU IS A BASKETBALL SCHOOL. PACK THE PMAC.

Even with the weight loss, Davis will be a load in the paint. He still has that big chest and shoulders and 290 is not light. He will still take up space and not be pushed around.
