    Absolutely.

This guy says he needs to lose 50 lbs. I think he's about right, I just don't know if Baby's got it in him.

A big part of his game stems from his ability to buffalo people down low.

I don't think so. Not to the degree where 50 lbs takes that ability away from him. Although it seems like his frame would be used as an advantage for him, I don't think he uses it that much. You always hear about how good his footwork is and how nimble he can be because he doesn't just bully his way around down low. He accomodates for the other players, and as long as he's going to do that - he might as well be able to jump higher.

He definitely does when he's positioning for rebounds.
Yeah, for a guy his size. It's just that at 'only' 6'9", he'd have to have some other type of advantage if he wants to be able to be so effective down low in the NBA.

i think his defense would improve the most. i know its really hard to say this about a hall of famer, but if he does lose 50 he could be karl malone.

It's pretty pathetic that a guy who stands 6'9" tall relies on his below the rim moves for offense. If Glen lost 50-60 pounds and remade his body, he would be unstoppable. That 300+ does nothing for him at all. He can be 250 and do the same exact thing.

Well if he moves this well at 310#, he would be sick at 270 or so. Plus, if it can improve his jumping ability I all for it, as that is the one knock I have on the guy.

Why is it "Pathetic"? Davis was the leading Scorer & Rebounder in the SEC after the NCAA's at 18.6 PPG & 9.7 Rebounds - even better than Tyrus who lives above the rim. He's more like 6' 7" instead of 6' 9" and has post moves most players are Not been able to stop. So apparently he is doing something right. Davis will never be 250 lbs. He's big boned, and built like an Offensive Tackle, not a typical basketball type. I hope he can get down to 280-285 range, which I think is a more realistic goal for him.

Its amazing to me that something so obvious would be news.
Yes, he needs to lose some more weight and yes he would be better
if he did and yes, that is scary.
    The End.....
