you don't have to continually try to take shots at people here for being upset at Saban leaving or any other reason. This guy is a writer and has a responsibility to be non-partial. Why are you so often negative towards LSU or its fanbase in some way? We have opposition who fill that role just fine.
Petrino screwed himself, I think UL AD told Miener to burn him! Miener is a true Pitino butt boy, and I do mean am major butt boy. Heck, Pitino went to bat for Mieners when UK got the exclusive radio rights to WHAS, which speaks how much in the loop Mieners is with UL athletics…in a major way. I bet that Jurich (UL AD) has told him to smear Petrino in the media in a bad way, because he will no longer be coaching for UL. Petrino has sneaked around last year with Auburn behind Jurich back and he did it again with LSU. Cross me once, shame on me…do it again, shame on you attitude with Jurich. :cry: If you believe in Swampwomen post with Laundry, sounds like Petrino would be a last resort hire. I think Petrino screwed himself big-time on this one. I bet Jurich has made contact already to get a replacement as we speak. Jurich did make that comment introducing Haskins in the award dinner in Memphis; it was on the sports section in Lexington. Brooks is an old fart I can promise you that Petrino is not the 1st choice. Brooks has one more year in the UK fans eyes, he does not produced, see you later and go back to Oregon. I think Brooks should be fine; we got rid of our OC and promoted Joker to the position before the UT game. We almost beat UT in their backyard! Petrino is a snake, wouldn’t want him or our fan base. He had it rolling in the ‘Ville, just handled this situation. I do believe in my opinion Jurich has had enough of him, I will be surprised he returns as the coach of the Cards, even if they win tomorrow night. Kind of hoping Saban hates it in Miami in two years and decides to come back to college football and Brooks either retires or gets fired…oh, forget it, UK has the Bear Curse! :bncry:
I was reading one of the newspapers from Louisville, and they were doing the Liberty bowl media awards show or something. Anyway, UL's AD was introducing the people, and when he got to BSU coach, he said...with both coaches sitting right next to him (paraphrasing here): "I'd like to congratulate Dan Hawkins on the job he's done at Boise St. and the loyalty he's shown the university. And now, a great coach, Dan Hawkins" I kid you not, when it got to Petrino, he said: "And now our coach, Bobby Petrino" Haha! I couldn't believe it..it was a direct quote, as close as you can get to physically slapping the man in the face with a trout.
Is it just me or are Louisville fans one of the most unappreciative groups of fans you've ever seen!??!
