You know, TE, I was a History major at LSU. And I learned early on in my college career to basically, "keep it simple, stupid". Overdramatzing your prose the way you so often do doesn't fool anybody - in other words, it doesn't disguise the fact that you don't know what you're talking about. And before you go off on another pompous, overbearing, 10,000-word diatribe about how your opinion of Brady is yours, and how nobody's going to change your mind or shut you up...let me just say this: That's fine. I respect your opinion. In fact, I respect even more your willingness to stick to your guns in the face of heavy opposition; it's a quality I greatly admire in our President. My problem is with the condescending nature in which you present your opinion. You tend to act as if we're all idiots if we don't cave in and accept YOUR take on things as Gospel. I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way I do.
This will probably explain a lot for you...I was a History & Political Science Double Major at LSU... Name me on single example that would prove I don't know what I'm talking about when it comes to college hoops...and PLEASE say the best one is that I want Brady gone...
I DON'T think you know what you're talking about in regards to wanting Brady gone...for the simple reason I stated on another thread (which you never responded to, BTW): If Brady goes, who's going to replace him? In your infinite wisdom, o pompous one, can you tell us who we're going to get that's better than John Brady, who would be willing to leave the situation he's in now (presumably a good one if he's that good of a coach), to come to a school that's just fired a coach coming off of a 20-win season? Who's going to want to walk into that kind of a pressure cooker if he's that good and has a choice? You bitch a lot, but offer no solutions, TE. And you're arrogant about it, to boot. BTW, my commentary on your writing style was designed to let you know, once again, that I've seen it before. I'm not impressed. You write like I did when I was a sophomore trying to "baffle them w/ my BS" when I was unable to dazzle them w/ my brilliance.
The coach from the White Shadow tv show. I don't think he is coaching anywhere right now. And he was a good guy.
I can't let this one go, especially with people falunting history degrees around here! Here's two-cents from a BA and MA History view... Kansas had been play horrible basketball since mid-February. Although the loss to Bucknell was a notable stunner, Kansas was easy tag for a 2nd round loss. The reason it is such a big deal is because KU stinks in just about everything else. Unlike a certain other major public university where winning big is habitual except in basketball, Jayhawkers hang everything on hoops. Can imagine such disappointment at a basketball loss among the LSU faithful? It would be sign that March runs were more than a reaction to bad food, but expecated annual events! Wow!
Someone who would handle such pressure and earn the $750,000 or so salary. LSU isn't a pressure cooker in hoops. It should be, but the demands on the men's basketball coach pale to what Miles and Smoke face on a daily basis.
