Thanks, We beat a good team today going away. Only negative is we took our foot of the gas too early and let the them get back in it. And one day ULL will finally beat us, but that day is not today! Fourth Sun Belt championship in a row after five years in the league. Our fans have loved the move up and the Sun Belt but are getting itchy for something bigger. Undefeated in 4 bowls and already tired of playing in the Sun Belt bowls. Nothing against the Sun Belt bowls but we always seem to get another G5 conference's runner-up. And how many times can you go to Montgomery and Mobile. This will be our second trip to NOLA and while our fans like it, they want stiffer competition. Finally, it wasn't a good day to wear red was it? GEAUX TIGERS!
Yep, he stayed a whole 11 months. App State has always been a stepping stone school. We lost Mack Brown, Sparky Woods, Scott Satterfield and countless assistants to higher paying schools with bigger profile programs. We have always played hard nosed competitive football. Coach Jerry Moore turned down offers and stayed with us for 24 years. His replacement, Scott Satterfield, was with us for about 15 (player, assistant, HC). We will now be on our third coach in 12 months. Our culture will keep us competitive but he last 15 years have been very special. Very worried about the next few years. About all I can say about Drinkwitz is he inherited a Ferrari and didn't mess it up. Wish him well in the future but don't let the door hit you.....
