Michael Jordan is why we are a long term Nike school. We had no allegiance but were wearing Nike gear when we beat Michigan. Contracts were put in place then. Then Michaels' Chapel Hill roommate became our basketball coach and then it really stepped up. Been a little surprised we haven't moved to the Jump Man line up. Graphics area big major at App. So is Communication with a heavy emphasis on video production. Our video team has won a boatload of awards for our sports videos. Our people are scattered all over and work with NASCAR closely. My neighbor in college was a sports producer at a TV station in Alabama and won a Grammy for a feature he did on Bama v. Auburn. LOL we don't play those games just for a paycheck and we do owe them one. We've beaten Wake Forest multiple times, 1-0 vs North Carolina, beaten S Carolina twice, 1-1 against Michigan and lost close ones at Penn State and Tennessee. Clemson, LSU, Georgia, Va. Tech and Florida own our ass. Miami spanked us at home last time out, we want some of that.
Alert the media. App State just won the Sun Belt tournament and is big dance bound for the third time in program history and the first time in 22 years. Playing four games in four days with the quarterfinal and semifinal games going to overtime. This is huge for us. We have been so bad in basketball for so long. Oh we'll draw a top seed and make an early exit...but we are going! Took out the top two seeds in the tournament. Defense is strong and no player over 6'9".
I guess there's no better way to match teams, but it's a shame they'll be up against it, right from the start congrats again,.. the men's tournament is wide open this year
