Blanco is ineffective in making both NO DECISIONS & poor decisions & needs to resign. Mitch Landrieu, son of former New Orleans mayor Moon Landrieu & one of many lifelong New Orleanians in government, would get the job done as Lt. Governor. Mitch is a go-getter. He's got back-up and support & WILL ACT IN N.O. Best interests as he is trying to do behind the scenes now. Blanco needs to take a two month vacation in some wellness center and get lost while TOUGH DECISIONS have to be made.

New Orleans is fast becoming a DISGRACE in the media and in the eyes of America. I agree with earlier posts, Blanco will not be re-elected. Put this lame duck in the gumbo now. I'd sign a petition for her recall/removal as governor today.

I got news for you people. Blanco was out of the loop days ago. The Feds have been running the show since at least mid day on Tuesday.

I belive you may be right on this one.

I do wonder what Foster would have done as a business man in the gov position.

    There's no crying in leadership!

I will save my chauvinistic impressions for a more appropriate time.

I agree. Against Barbour from Mississippi, she looked disspirited most of the time and has not been on TV or radio enough. The military should have been called in from day 1, to stop both the looting and to facilitate the removal of these damned people. So many mistakes........which are understandable but after, you have to rise up and start making decisions and she hasn't done that IMO.

And what's with this "Day of Prayer" declaration? It's like she's got no clue as to how to proceed so let's all drop to our knees. I'm not knocking prayer, just leave those declarations to the clergy leaders. Blanco needs to take charge and let people know she's a fighter, not an old woman in need of a hug.

But, that is all she is SabanFan. There is no greatness there.

Why can't Louisiana have a governor like this right now. I haven't heard this type of tone from her at all.

Looting has also been a problem in Mississippi.

“The truth is, a terrible tragedy like this brings out the best in most people, brings out the worst in some people,” said Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour on NBC’s “Today” show Thursday. “We’re trying to deal with looters as ruthlessly as we can get our hands on them.”

Maybe the people of Louisiana will elect a better governor next time?
