Until some people don't have a vote, don't hold your breath.

I would have to agree on this one. Blanco just looks totally overwhelmed and helpless. In this time, she needs to at least appear calm and directed. This situation if extremely difficult, but as a public leader you need to give the people strength.

When the only thing she can offer up is 'Pray for us' it is a little diheartening.

I am watching Blanco during the press conference. She is about to have a nervous breakdown. She needs to resign if she can't do this job. We need leadership and we don't have it with Blanco.

I am in total agreement. She has almost broken down in tears several times. The only good I have heard from the press conference is they are finally driving sheet piles to plug up the openings. It finally took the government to realize to get a construction company in there to fix the problem. I hope LA. gets the 40,000 troops the Gov. mentioned.

I don't post much, but come on guys, because she sheds some tears you want to jump all over her. How many of you could do a better job. Her legacy won't be judged by the first days, but by how New Orleans recovers. If New Orleans recovers and is built up correctly in the next two years, she will probably have a legacy as one of the greatest leaders this state has ever had. No matter how much ya'll don't like her. And if it doesn't turn out well, she won't be re-elected. But give everything a chance to play out.

How many of us are the f*cking Governor! She wanted the job and she got it. Now do the damn job or turn it over to someone who can. This isn't a training ground for bored housewives who want a little power.

It's good you don't post much if this is an example of your handiwork. :angryfire

Her term will not be remembered for "how New Orleans is rebuilt"... I will be remembered for how she showed absolutley zero leadership during the aftermath with her crying on national television and stuttering through interviews with national media.

I don't wish what she's going through as the leader of this state on anyone, however, she can not get job done.

The sad irony of the situation is these are the very people who got her elected. They deserve better.

I know most don't agree, I think she is doing a capable job. BTW i'm a democrat and I voted for Jindal. Most here don't like her and never have. Take your shots SabanFan, it's just the internet, doesn't bother me too much. :)

I don't see this as a Republican vs Democrat thing, it is a question of competent leadership in a time of major crisis. New York had it during 9-11, we seem to lack it during our states time of need.
