A very true statement. But given the climate of the world right now, she had to be aware of the possibility of something terrible happening. There are many things that could have been as bad or worse. So the question is, did she want to be elected to be a strong leader, or was it just for the power of office?
unfortunately for some it is always a dem vs rep thing. no one is mentioning the failure of the fed gov to deal with this as well. didn't bush call for prayer after 9/11?????? does that make him weak?????? no one is mentioning the bush admin cutting 44% of of funds for the levee in new orleans , metairie and kenner to send to the war effort. not picking on your quote, twisted, as you seem to be pretty level headed. absolutely this is a situation that may be handled better by someon else dem or rep, but the partisanship needs to be put asidein a time ofcrisis. we need to rally around our leaders whether we are talking about terrorism, wars, or natural disasters. :thumb: :usaflagwa :laflagwav btw, dennis hastert can lick my b@lls!
Can't agree with you more. Rudy G. lead NYC through 911 kept his cool and got the city to move forward. I also noticed that Blanco is very snappy and has cocked an attitude with some members of the media.
Saban... you are one cold-hearted individual. I think you are a nice person, but your politics remind me of hitler... Blanco is a woman. What do women do? They cry! Get over it. She wouldn't be the first govt leader to have cried in a situation like that. At least she has the "balls" to blast the media once they keep asking the same rephrased irate and retarded questions over and over again. New Orleans is out of her control. As much as you or I would like to "pick off" all of the looters, there is no way in hell that that would be legally appropriate. I got blasted for showing my displeasure with our national govt in light of this tragedy, some of you aren't any better. The only thing that keeps me posting on this damn site is so I can try and discount the frickin hypocrisy when someone says something the hypocrite personally doesn't believe in... well I guess it's different if those people are in the "majority." Politics suck, everyone always thinks they are right, but in fact it's usually NEITHER that are right since one side is always attacking the other... :dis: This is why there is a fault in the American system, it isn't the Repulican's problems and it isn't the Democrat's but rather the radical from each side. I'd be more than happy to discuss any of this in the free speech alley because this is neither the time nor the place to be blasting govt leaders. It took me 3 days of shock to realize that...
Sabanfan and others like him on this site are radical republicans... that is the worst part of politics--the radicals. it's okay to be dem or rep, but once your thinking gets irrational and hypocritical, that is when problems arise... I'm not bashing... but it's the honest truth.
