I gotta go with JayB on this one. There are people in office I don't agree with on some of the things being done in response, but this isn't the time or place to debate it. IMO, we need to put aside partisanship for a while and back all our leaders while rescue and recovery is going on. And yes, females cry. I am not gonna blast any elected official for that - male, female, dem, pub.
crying is cool and i liked the fact she showed her true emotions initially yet i am already tired of it since everytime she is on air her face is swollen from crying and she's convulsing. enough already. i aint listening to that much crying from a chick unless im sleeping with her.
I take issue with attempting to put an anti Bush spin on this disaster. That's all. As far as Blanco goes, I want to see strength and determination. I'm not seeing it from her. I'm seeing someone who is in way over her head. At least that's the impression she gives. Maybe she should let her staff do the talking and she can work behind the scenes. I am not against women in leadership positions. I am against this woman in a leadership position. I am who I am. I am normally not real politically correct. I don't try to sugar coat my opinions. I know a lot of people disagree with me and that's fine. But, I'm going to speak my mind.
I can answer that. She wanted to be elected so she can try to take U-La-La to the same level as LSU. She will succeed at that about as well as she has succeeded with anyything else she has tried to do as governor. It is a damn shame. The ONLY reason she was elected is because the racist bastards in this state thought of Bobby Jindal as a foreigner.
Salty, I've never had a problem with you before and I don't want to have one now, bit that "110% truth" reply was, i believe, in response to what I said about radical dems and radical reps. You're the epitome of either if you do not for one second think that radicalism is a problem in this country. I sure hope you misquoted the wrong reply.
everyone's racist to some extent. so what. but I must disagree thats not the only reason she was elected....my racist aunt said she couldn't vote for another republican even if he wasn't a raghead.
I consider myself an mod. rep, but I will have to say that both the clinton and bush admins have cut funding drastically for disaster prevention(i.e. levees) FYI, they just finished spending money to build levees from the standards that were set by hurricane betsy.
