So, you were also wondering why we haven't seen John Brady and Bo Pelini in the same place at the same time too eh? hmm.....

What really bothers me is the lack of class Pelini is showing by bashing his players and the Tiger faithful. Everyone of us - and I'm sure Pelini is included - wants to win. If he can't take criticism, though, maybe he ought to take his sensitive little bum somewhere else, because there'll be plenty of that as long as he is here.

What we saw Saturday night was certainly a defensive debacle, no ifs, ands or buts about it. He can blame the players and he can call us stupid, but we watched the game and saw the linebackers 10 yards off the ball and the corners playing so soft they weren't even in the picture at the snap. I somehow doubt the players cooked that up in the huddle to make Mr Pelini look bad.

He claimed the pressure was on Keller all night, but it must have been the kind of pressure that a sore arm brings, or maybe his receivers were begging him to lay off because they were tired of catching the ball...whatever it was, it certainly wasn't defensive pressure. The rush was weaker than Pelini's lame assed excuses for giving up 461 yards passing to a quarterback who pouted like a girl the one time he got hit late in the game.

I'm trying to be optimistic about the Tennessee game, but visions of last Saturday night keep popping into my head and make me think that we're in for a long season.

Nukem welcome to the board. Do you have a link to a quote where Petrini "bashed" his players. As far as his comment that most fans don't know what they are talking about, my reaction is "If the shoe fits, wear it."

Do you lack comprehension skills or do you just take TejasTiger's word for it that Bo called fans stupid & insulted players? Pellini did neither. He simply said that MOST fans didn't really know what they are talking about. Last survery I did, most people aren't capable of being DC's so I think he might have a point. Also, he said that the execution was poor by the players, but THAT IT GOES BACK TO COACHING. If you'll remember, that was his job. He didn't put the blame on players & he handled criticism fine.

What a shock: I got negative rep points.

One was from an Auburn b*tch, so no surprise there... What kind of puss slimes someone with red for merely stating an opinion?

I sure am glad I posted this in the first place; gave many of you the opportunity to blow what I said entirely out of proportion.

The word "basically" in the title, for example, should clue you in that I'm paraphrasing what the man said. If I said that Coach Les Miles had a face and head not ideally suited to support certain looks or fashions, "basically" I'd be saying the man looked terrible in that hat Saturday night without, you know, specifically saying, "Les looked terrible in that hat Saturday night."

Also, casting a critical eye on Mr. Pelini's thinly-veiled obstinance does not equal, "Fire the SOB after one game". LSU could have opened against Temple, won 77-3, only given up 200 yards total...and, if Temple's WRs had a half-dozen drops on passing plays in which the corners played 10-15 yards off the line, the defense never blitzed and the line itself got little if any pressure on the QB, I'd say, "Damn if that QB didn't have opportunities to get big yards on this defense, given the scheme being used."

Hope I've given some enough ammo in this latest post to twist and distort for the rest of the evening. I'll be back tomorrow to serve up some more, if you'd like.

That's what the rep system is for - people to express whether, not only they agree with you or not, but think you have no argument for your opinion.

You missused the word "basically" then. Because Bo didn't "basically" call anyone stupid. Bo "basically" said that we aren't defensive coordinators.

I'm glad you aren't saying he should be fired. I'm glad you would be equally upset if we had won more convincingly against an inferior oponent yet the defense looked bad. But did you REALLY need another thread to bash him?
