Not at at, in fact I believe he's a terrific student of the offensive game and is a brilliant coordinator. A little inexperienced for a program the level of an LSU, but hey that's just me. My concern with BP was explained in a thread yesterday:
You'll quickly learn on this forum that unless you have >1000 posts, you "don't know shi#". It's pretty sad actually, some of these clowns use their post numbers to compensate for other deficiencies in their life.
Petrino looks like he'd be a good hire. I was upset last year at the way things were handled with Tuberville and the ill-fated plane ride, but I wasn't necessarily upset with the thought of Petrino being our head coach. I thought he'd be a good one. Just not the way or the timing with which the idea was pursued. I didn't think CTT deserved to be fired at that point. Anyway, good luck on getting him. Three or four years ago, a move like this would have been a no-brainer for a coach from Louisville. The only thing that might make him stay with the Cards is that they are moving to a weakened Big East that has an automatic BCS berth. He could dominate over there while every year is a slugfest in the SEC. Good God next year's Auburn-LSU game will be a doozy if he makes the jump.
Thanks Caddy, I did not read your last thread, cannot say I cannot disagree with your comments. Personally I think people on both sides (Louisville and here) are getting way ahead of themselves, all he did was talk. Who knows if LSU is even interested him after the meeting. Lets see what other coaches are out there first. Not that I would be upset about him, I just hope LSU does not jump at the first interview.
