He said nothing, yet his action spoke loudly of how Booty's USC teammates feel about him. Booty, the Trojans' nascent star, saw significant practice time Tuesday, alternating series with starter Matt Leinart during the scrimmage portion of the two-hour practice. USC coach Pete Carroll said Booty will get plenty of practice time during the bye week. "I thought I did pretty well today," Booty said. "Usually I get about seven plays. But today I got about 20. I'd get five plays and he would get five, then I would get three and he would get two. They were trying to get Linny (Leinart) and the offensive line some rest."
