To hell you can't. The Saints offense is predicated on short to medium range passes. Joe Horn surely is a possession receiver at this point in his career. Devery Henderson is our deep threat that stretches the field. Bowe has the intangibles that Payton strives for (downfield blocking being the biggest one). If the Saints fill their need at D-line, LB and CB in free agency (which could happen), look for the Saints to bolster this already potent offense with the likes of a Dwayne Bowe. They don't build em like this kid everyday.
He's not getting drafted by the Saints. NO already has their sure-handed big receiver. They also have their deep threat. Since he doesn't have 4.3 speed.
True, it doesn't make sense to have 2 excellent receivers on the field at the same time, much less 3 of them (Henderson, Bowe, Colston). With the way Payton likes to chunk the ball around, we would end up scoring 35 ppg instead of only 26.
horn won't be in N.O. next year unless he takes a cut, which he says he won't do. I expect the saints to get a veteran WR in the draft, though.
so you are already putting him in that class? #14 was a far superior receiver at LSU in my mind, and he's already halfway out of the league.
