thank you lord for giving me a day of good weather and calm seas (ok, they were only bayous, but seas just sounds better).

Did a lot more boat riding than I did fishing, but I really, REALLY enjoyed my day out on the water.

We did manage to snag 5 reds

but most importantly, my 1st mate had fun

What areas do you fish. Is that somewhere in Lake Barre? We got some great spots in there.

this was in a cut off Bayou Barre, just south of where it splits with Bayou Tambour

That is a GREAT picture! You need to frame that and hang it on the wall!

missed this part of your question.

I normally stay around the Wonder Lake area.
there are a few canals on the North West side when going to the dams that are really good for Redfish when the tide is low in cold weather

on the southern edge of the lake, there are a few spots that can be good for specs or redfish.
But since that Lake can be finicky, she might not let you catch anything that day.

also like to scout all around in Madison Bay. The specs and reds are in there, you just gotta find them.

and of course all the dams and cuts along Bayou Barre.

Glad you had a good time....For a moment, I thought all the reds in the box had oil covering their heads! Then I realized it was the shadow of the ice chest:lol: Think I need new glasses.....

JP officials were able to commandeer boats away from BP to start using...WHY doesnt the governor do the same thing with the dredge that they are waiting for the permits for?

Get some guys that know how to run damn thing....get some National Guard soldiers to block off access to it and start doing what they have been asking to do and pay the consequences after the fact!

Kinda difficult to commandeer dredges from the ARMY Corps of Engineers.
