I've noticed that smell all day today. My boss thinks I'm crazy; he says he can't smell it. I was curious though if it was something to do with the spill, or simply some other chemical source south of here, like any of the various plants on the river.

some people can smell things easily, some people couldnt smell a skunk right under their nose.

greenie has the olfactory sense of a toothed whale.

Ok the relief wells are being dug by ships or that the very least small looking rigs?????

When it started I remember hearing that the relief wells would take 3 months to dig...I may be wrong about this.

So I guess what I am wondering is what happens to all the work they have done if say at the end of June a Hurricane comes rolling through?

That's my biggest fear. If that happens, it will exceed all worst case scenarios. Even the storm surge from a minimal tropical storm would be very bad.

Pray for two things. #1 Top Kill or something else plugs the well and stops the flow. #2 The Gulf is spared this hurricane season.

He had a great comment toward the end of the interview.

That pretty much sums it up. I do like how he calls a spade a spade.
