What a cluster. My heart goes out to the families of those who lost their lives. I'm as conservative and pro-business as any, but it appears that this was an accident that didn't need to happen by all accounts.

Not real sure what you're proud of. It's exactly what I meant. You failed at crawfishing. It was a pretty pathetic attempt. The fact that you think you've somehow managed to make yourself look smart is making it look even worse.

    The headline says it all...

BP cut corners in days before oil well blowout in Gulf of Mexico, documents say | NOLA.com

another article about Houtiger's info above.
This is more serious than corporate greed...corporate sin is what happened.

    also...http://www.nola.com/news/gulf-oil-spill/index.ssf/2010/06/magnitude_of_gulf_of_mexico_oi.html...

BP spokesman Toby Odone said his company has no plans to file for bankruptcy reorganization, and is financially strong. BP issued a statement on its website last week saying that it saw no reason for declines in its stock price.

...and Tony Hayward, BP's CEO, led the company into eleven deaths, massive pollution, extreme company losses and probable bankruptcy. Good job Tony...you must be just the guy to lead BP after all this. I hope you keep your job and get your life back.

The government has revised its estimates for the BP oil spill again.

    60,000 barrels per day. :cuss:

One constant throughout this ordeal is that number going up and up and up. :(

Has anyone seen the coverage from Barataria Bay where the reporters are wading in the water? They been down and scoop some sediment up from the bottom with their hands. It is mostly oil. One of the most disturbing things I have seen. :(

Maybe another costly visit to the coast and a speech will "plug da hole".

Perhaps we should invade Iraq again . . . that's the ticket. Sarah would just start a war with Mexico, after all it's their Gulf.
