Re: Oil Rig explosion/Gulf Oil Spill Yeah. That's relevant. Can you possibly defend Obama without invoking Bush? I'll answer: NO!

Re: Oil Rig explosion/Gulf Oil Spill And you blame Obama for everything in every thread. If I say that the sky is blue, you blame it on Obama. Comparison is valid, Pancho. You keep referring to Obama's "failures" and I have to remind you what a real failure is.
Re: Oil Rig explosion/Gulf Oil Spill I saw that and it is sickening. It's the thing I think most suspected would happen but didn't want to talk about. This is a link to WAFB video (I think because I can't view it at work). Video - WAFB Channel 9, Baton Rouge, LA |
Re: Oil Rig explosion/Gulf Oil Spill That's funny. I thought Sabanfan was giving an explanation about Obama's performance, as pointed out by unabashed liberal supporters. Guess those shivers up the leg don't come like they used to anymore. When did Obama get elected? Comparisons of Bush to Clinton were routinely disallowed by Red, even if legislation/action was proved to have originated with Clinton. Now Red is forced to ignore his own maxim of "the buck stops here", and invoke Bush, Palin, or (insert NEO-CON here) while totally ignoring what this administration is or is not doing. I understand the desire to feel right, but really? Obama is just knocking it out of the park? This is a really bad crisis and it's unlikely anyone would look good handling it, but Obama looks like what he is - inexperienced @ executive control. Going back and pointing out Bush's own failings in that department do not exonerate Obama in any way. It's just silly.
Re: Oil Rig explosion/Gulf Oil Spill The sky is supposed to be blue Relevent comparison is valid, Tonto. The oil's been leaking for 57 days. Bush hasn't been president for 540 days.

Re: Oil Rig explosion/Gulf Oil Spill I saw that. It sounded really bad when he said it. Even worse with the German accent. I think BP's stock will take a further dive on that one. Always amazes me that supposedly intelligent people don't know what to say in a given situation.
Re: Oil Rig explosion/Gulf Oil Spill I didn't see anything last night or today to raise my confidence level in our leadership or ability to correct this situation. When Obama's biggest supporters knock his response then you know something is drastically wrong with this administration. If we don't talk about Obama's mistakes and failures then we really have no reason to talk about him at all. Even Carter got a few things right. I truly hope we have better choices for president than we've had the past two decades. I do belive Obama is currently ahead of Carter for the worst president ever award. Knowing this is the worst Congress of all time, if we don't run everyone out the next two years then shame on us. The magic teleprompter didn't have the answers last night.
