New ESPN Lunardi Bracketology has LSU a 7 vs. Notre Dame (who has completely failed to impress me in the 2 or 3 games I've seen this year.)

Our second round game would be no. 2 Duke in Oklahoma City. What a dream scenario. Duke can't win away from home at all this year. I'd love the opportunity to slap them right out the tourney.:geauxtige

id hate to get a team in the 1st round that has beaten so many good teams. also it would be interesting to see how we'd do against duke. id be worried that they would shred our D because they can hit outside shots and good interior passing. im still hoping for a 6 seed to stay away from a 1 or 2 seed

I completely agree about Duke. As well as the 6 seed.

Couldn't agree less about N.D. They're weak. 4-6 in road games. Four wins were over Indiana, Seton Hall, WV and Providence. The Seton Hall and Providence games were 1 pt margin of victory wins. They got lucky and beat UConn once at home.

Awww, come on now. I know you're not trying to say N.D. is a decent team, because they beat WV, who smoked LSU back at the beginning of the season huh?

I was at the Houston win over LSU right around the same time. I could have picked 5 or 6 guys out of the crowd and beat that LSU team. That's an inductive fallacy.

I've seen ND play a few times this year. You must be watching ND's JV team. This is a team that could give LSU a lot of trouble with 3 players hitting 37%+ on threes. what makes chris thomas and chris quinn dangerous is that they can drive the basket as well. Remember what WVU did to LSU early in the season. the Big East is probably the best conference top to bottom and historically does well in the NCAAs. You'd be a fool to underestimate a team like ND from the rugged Big East.

I'm not saying the Big East isn't the best conference. You're making the same argument the other guy just made. You can't look at what WVU did to LSU 10 or 11 weeks ago and use that to make a case for N.D. All I'm saying is they are a weak road team. There's no disputing this fact. Of course, LSU is traditionally a weak road team as well.

Absolutely correct. ND doesn't impress me and Duke, as evidenced by the way UNC blew by them down the stretch today, can have trouble with a team as physical as LSU is in the frontcourt.

Dream a little dream of taking down ND and Duke, squirting by a suddenly struggling Okie St and facing the Illini in Chicago in the Final 8?

Yeah, that's too crazy to contemplate right now. One game at a time for me.

Now it looks like ND in round one, and the second round matchup would still be Duke...but in Nashville. Not sure what impact that location change has, but I can't think it bodes well. Oh well, ONE GAME AT A TIME!
