I like it. I don't like him as a DC but as a special teams coach, he should do great. It also shows how Miles handles his staff. Not many coaches would be able to bring back a coach that they essentially fired.

If I remember correctly, our special teams were pretty good under his guidance.

He is a top, experienced position coach with coordinator and head coach experience, but unlikely to leave for a head coaching job any time soon.

How was his recruiting? I don't really recall.

I don't remember specifics about his time here in that regard, but the quote from the article above says that he helped Kentucky pull-in a top 25 class this year.

By all accounts, a good recruiter, father was a longtime high school coach in Texas, and he has a lot of contacts

I heard that he had a lot of recruiting contacts in Texas, I just don't know who well he has pulled them in.

I admit Im not one of the biggest supporter of Miles but your're so right. It says a heck of a lot about Miles. That he could essentially fire a man and then have him come back and accept a job offer. Kudos to both.

I too agree that it says a lot about Miles and the kind of person he is. Not the kind of HC that assistants can't get away from fast enough unlike one of our past HC's. However I'm not excited about the hire.
