Who's the third stooge?? It can't be NLMD, as I've voiced virtually no opinion on Brady, primarily because I don't really have one.

Back on subject here... I'll agree. Hell, without D-Mitch this season, we'd be 3 or 4 games back in the SEC instead of having a chance to take THE OUT RIGHT TITLE! MVP doesn't mean "best player," it means Most Valuable Player, and Darrell is just that... I don't have to remention all of the games he has preserved over the years... He's the MVP... no doubt about it.

if they look at the stats and give weight to him for being on a top SEC team, it should be dmitch hands down. lofton only scores, brewer is on a bubble team.

You can make that same comment about Redick and Morrison, but one of them will be the national player of the year.

It'll be Lofton or dmitch. And it might come down to which team wins the SEC. dmitch really stepped up big time this year playing PG. Would love to see him win it.

Yes, Duke and Gonzaga are on top of the national rankings, and then you ask on those teams who is most valuable. MVP and COY awards usually go to the most dominant player or coach on the best achieving teams.

So, I agree, the question is who wins the SEC. If it's LSU, it's hard not to pick D.Mitch. If it's Tennessee, hard not to go with Lofton. IMO, it's still Darrell, b/c you look at not only the scoring, but the assists (his A-2-TO ratio has improved), the defense, the all-around play and the BIG SHOT after BIG SHOT, and he's more impressive. Lofton's just a guard who shoot the 3 well in Tennessee's run and gun offense. I'd LOVE to see Darrell get it considering I don't think he's EVER been ALL-SEC (perhaps a second or third teamer), which has been a travesty, considering he's always atop the 3 point % leaders. It's important for coaches and fans to start "lobbying" a little here, and D.Mitch deserves the support since he's so low-key...

    Remaining Schedule:

    Tennessee: Arkansas, Kentucky, at Vanderbilt
    LSU: Kentucky, at USC, Mississippi
