I really believe it will be Calvin Johnson. Al Davis has NEVER stuck with conventional wisdom. He is impatient as hell! I don't believe he has the patience to bring in a rookie QB at this point. I think he'd rather go with CJ.

Of course the stories continue to fly the closer we get to draft day. Some of the "leaks" coming out are intentional to increase negotiating position but some are just reality.

ITA. This is nothing more than just jealousy about ND. In a lot of ways, its similar to what we're seeing with Duke basketball, and how everybody hates it because its so succesful and does it the right way. Why else would people hate on Duke? This even extended to those three Duke lacrosse players, as the whole nation gleefully jumped at that chance to take Duke down another notch.

I kinda of like Duke. Why would any LSU fan or fans from many different teams be jealous of ND right now. I would rather not sit through 10 years of Bowl losses and the long summers that follow. Some of the young fans have never experienced a victory to end the season. Sorry but does any of this sound like a recipe for jealousy, I think not.

You are correct in that it is similar to Duke, but not because of success. LSU has been more successful than ND the past several years. People hate Duke & ND because they are always overrated.

Duke is to basketball as Notre Dame is to football??

That's what people don't like about ND- the menatality, Quinn epitomizes it. Just like above, anyone thinking college fans are "Jealous" of 9 consecutive bowl loses. What gets to them is the fact that ND is still being pimped when they aren't deserving. I can't wait for this season, I'm anxious to see: 1/ LSU dominate, 2/ ND get run over-and I think this year will be bad for the domers, and 3/ Alabama have an improved season but not the SEC dominance many Bama fans are (Not all but too many) believing they'll see immediately. :(

Why would anyone be jealous of Notre Dame? When was the last time they won anything significant in football. When was the last time ND even won a bowl game? Jealous of ND, I think not.

But, when Duke wins, people still hate Duke. When they win a NC, can they still be considered overrated. If its not jealousy, why hate Duke basketball? They play good, fundamental basketball, their kids used to stay in school and don't get in trobule, and they don't have recruiting violations. Shouldn't we cheer on a program like that?

I think other schools are jealous of ND- the TV contract with NBC, the history, the overall number of wins, championships, heisman winners, etc.. Sure, LSU has done better in the last few years but look how long it would take for LSU to catch up to ND.
