you think lsu is comparable to duke in terms of potential? i am not buying it, counseler. duke has the cameron crazies, what say you? lsu doesnt not have the fan and community support that duke has, or the ability to recruit nationwide the highest caliber players who will stay four years. you say that just because we have had a few superstars pass through, that we are top-tier. well the spin stops here. great nba players dont always make for great college teams. frankly, the american people arent buying it. we have never had the highest caliber coaching here. i will give you the last word. thanks for coming out.
LSU is comparable to Duke. What have Dukies done compared to Shaq and Pete in the pros Thier aren't any Duke players that did anything like what Pistol Pete or Chris Jackson did in college. I haven't seen any Duke players do anything in the NBA either by the way. I never said we're top tier but I did say that historically our program is richer than Duke. Don't believe it compare players form both schools historically and let me know what you find out. I'm saying with LSU is a basketball school and with the Legends that went here we shouldn't have any trouble recruiting better talent than Jaime and whoever else is questionable characters Name me some Duke tradition in basketball besides thier stupid fans

MY point is that haven't done much in the NBA and I haven't seen them in the NBA Allstar game like Bob Petit, Pete, Shaq. I would say players like John Williams, chris Jackson, Stanley Roberts, Jerry Reynolds probably have done more than any Dukies in the NBA. Skip had worse than probation to come back from. At least LSU basketball existed when Brady got here. Most people didn't even realize we had a baseball team until Skip arrived. I'm not comparing Brady to Skip I just get tired of people saying we can't build a consistant winner in basketball at LSU. I'm sure Skip heard plenty of the same before he came to Tiger town, good thing he didn't believe it.
Ditto, Dale Brown like him or not at one time had LSU a consistant winner like some of the other coaches did in football. Under Dale Brown LSU made the tournament so many years in a row, I don't remember what it was but only Indiana and Duke had done it at the time, North Carolina too. This team isn't going to make the tourney this year, you heard it here first. It took a real footall coach to take LSU to the next level. LSU may have Petit, Pistol and Shaq as alums, but how many basketball recruits know who Bob Petit and Pete Maravich are? The only reason they would know Maravich is from his throwback jersey that says 'Pistol' on the back. Meanwhile, Duke has Laetner, Grant Hill, Boozer, Battier, Jay Williams all making the NBA recently.
Sorry, None of those guys are in the NBA allstar game and Grant Hill has been about as effective in the NBA as Stanley Roberts so its a wash. Somehow I knew you would take Dukes side Hell, You can't mention any of those names in the same sentence as Any of the LSU players in the top 50 or any of the ones in an allstar game. I disagree about recruits know Maravich by his jersey only. If thats the case Brady isn't using him or Bob or Shaq as a recruiting tool that he should
