When I was in either 6th or 7th grade, Michael Jordan dunked from the free throw line in the dunk contest and I made a bet with my friend. I bet him that there would be an athlete 50 yrs from that date who would be able to dunk from the top of the key (college 3 pt line) in a dunk contest. At the time, I was thinking there would probably be an athlete like Jordan in a 7-footers body with a long wingspan. I still think it's possible but doubt it will ever happen. We even had an official document drafted with a witness who signed it but I'm pretty sure my friend doesn't have it anymore. The bet was one month's income so I hope he doesn't.
Saw a player in high school do the same as Jordan and I remember the Dr. J dunk from the FT line. The player would have been a Tiger, but moved on to the NBA. I'll never forget it. Yea, I just threw out that situation. You would think the way athletes are getting, that it might just be possible.
