If I remember correctly at least one, maybe two of those were deflections right? I seem to remember the ball hitting a couple of WR's in the hands and then somehow a freaking war chickenhawk is running the other way with the damn ball.

Good chance I was pretty tuned up by that time so my memory could be foggy.

They were horrible deep passes when LSU had a comfortable lead. Curley and the OC should have been fired immediately after the game

Still remember the video of LSUs DC crying after the game. I think it was Phil Bennett. He should have kicked Curley's a$$ right there on the field!

What I also remember is that those bastards weren't gaining a thing on our defense that day, and yet we were passsing why? Even if we had been forced to punt, the likelihood of their offense engineering a comeback that day didn't seem possible.

As Les would do, you work to shorten the game by running at that point. :D

If Curley would have coached the first half and Les the second, LSU would have won by 40.

After LSU broke the tie with a field goal following the second pick-six, I was hollering to punt the ball on first down.

You know...I think that idea may have been batted around where I was watching, too.

No LSU would have won 23-9.

For the Jamie Howard 5 INT game, I was a senior in HS and watching the game at my girlfriend's house. It was the day of our homecoming dance. I was obviously pissed and she had the nerve to tell me that it better not affect my mood that night. It wouldn't have but I needed a few hours to grieve.

Many forget that Howard played a pretty good game to lead us to that huge upset over Auburn and Bring back the Magic. That was my first game ever as a student and I got to know Troy Twillie (the game clinching INT) later that year. He was a really cool and outgoing guy.

The Bring Back the Magic game was a lot of fun. My ex was in law school at LSU at the time, rushed the field, and almost got arrested. Good times, I tell you...
