Full disclosure: I am a 2nd Amendment advocate who chooses not to own a gun. That said, its maddening that libs don't get that more gun laws won't stop anyone who doesn't respect the law in the first place! I'm sure Mr. Uvalde shooter broke multiple gun laws that are already in place. More gun laws will only serve to take away the rights of law abiding citizens.

So how about we combine those two issues. We need law the bad guys will either respect or fear. Since libs are hell bent on attacking part of the Bill of Rights, how about instead of 2A, we look at 6A? I propose a rider that says in cases where an active shooter is caught in the act of a gun crime, the 6A guaranty to a trial by fair and impartial jury is revoked. I don't have data backing me, but it seems the perp in shootings like yesterday never gets away. He either kills himself, is caught on the scene or, at worst, is apprehended within 24 hours. Point is, there's never any doubt who did it. So why fuck around? The moment the perp is caught, he gets dragged before a special prosecutor appointed for this very situation. We can let the libs pick him; they're convinced the country is full of 2A gun nuts who sit around at night with their AR-15's between their legs and fondle themselves while watching Death Wish. We use those guys. Cops drag the perp before this guy, say, there are x number of gun victims at the school back there, and we caught this guy in the act. We've got his gun and we've got witnesses. 2A gun loving prosecutor says "guilty" and performs capital punishment on the spot. Speedy trial, no appeals, no dragged out sentence. Let's try that for, say, 2 years and see the impact. Deal?

OK, you can have it, if we can also ban all abortions in which the health of neither the baby nor the mother is in jeopardy. Deal?
