Breaking up a post to quote a poster

Is it a bitch to do for everyone or just on my ipad? I can't copy just the bracket part without including at least SOME of the text. I'm talking about when you break up a single post but want to show who said it for each part of the quote.

Another thing, and a separate issue, I don't know how to use the multi quote function. I click on the multi thingy but then run into trouble.

The text is not the problem. The problem is with what is in brackets. These things, [QUOTE="Bengal B,

Not sure what you're trying to do. If you want to quote the whole post of multiple posts click multi quote on all posts you want to quote

highlight and copy each line of text or paragraph you wish to quote

Click quote from the drop down option each time you highlight what you want

In the reply box you will have the option to quote the text

respond to each bit of text and then hit reply button

 

That's why my grand daughter is my IT consultant. I know enough to be dangerous.
