British fan coming to a game!

Hey,

Thought this may be the best place to post this.

I'm a 23 yr old British lad coming to the USA for a few weeks in October before I head to South America. I really want to go to football game. I first got into NFL about 5 years ago but have been watching more College football the last year or so.

I've done my research and LSU seem to be the best team I can see on my route (I fly out of New Orleans on the 21st) So I want to come to the game on the 18th October vs the Kentucky Wildcats.

I just want a bit of advice on;

• Tickets (I can buy from Stubhub etc, but would have no address to get the tickets sent, anyway I can buy an collect from a box office?)
• Accommodation (where good and not too expensive to stay? How quickly do places get booked up in advance?)
• Tailgaiting ( I want to have the whole football game experience. So does anyone want to show me that famous southern hospitality and invite me for a few beers? You'll get my famous British charm and wit in return

I just looked at the schedule and noticed that this is the Alumni Band game for this season. They killed it last season.

 

Quick update.

I've booked my ticket, Section 412 on the lower bowl, good place to sit?

Got my accommodation sorted through Airbnb, and arrive the day before the game to get the full atmosphere. So I guess i'll see you at the tailgate!!!

So, if this show teach you anything, it should teach you how to respek everyone: animals, children, bitches, spazmos, mingers, lezzers, fatty boombahs, and even gaylords. So, to all you lot watching this, but mainly to the normal people, respek. West side.

 

they are probably better than my season tix. i'm in 406, but i have better view of golden girls before game.
