Detris Willis, the brother of Ole Miss football linebacker Patrick Willis, drowned today. Detris was a rising senior at Bruceton High School and a native of Bruceton, Tenn. The Ole Miss Rebels showed interest in the senior as a possible player during his collegiate career. Detris was a vital force for Central's football team as a starter on both offense and defense, scoring over 100 tackles and three sacks his junior year.

Oh man that is horrible. I have been a big fan of Willis ever since he smacked Vincent in the Ole Miss game. Im curious to see how this will effect him in this coming year. I bet he uses it as inspiration and becomes the best lb in college football. The guy is an animal.

He was swimming with a group of friends Monday afternoon near the gravel pits in Camden, Tenn. He had been in very deep water for three or four hours before he cramped and went underwater. He remained underwater for an undetermined period of time until paramedics arrived on the scene, retrieved him from the water and transported him to Camden General Hospital. He was 6' 218lbs. People there were trying to get him out of the water, but he was just too big for them. They weren't able to get him out.
