That still doesn't make sense, as you've contradicted yourself. So which is it? Pittman should be suspended or not? It seems to me he was defending himself. Sorry, but if somebody throws a punch at me, I'm not just going to stand there and take it. And it pisses me off that some people have to hold football players to a higher standard. They are normal people, just like the rest of us, the only difference being they get to play football in front of 90,000 fans on Saturday night. If the story holds true and the other guy started it, Pittman should receive no punishment, as it's not fair for Coach Miles to make an example out of somebody who really didn't do anything wrong. Bad press? Who the hell cares? The guys beat the hell out of the other team every week on the football field. Do you really think that a simple barfight between between <gasp> a football player and a drunk frat boy is going to cause a national ruckus and forever shed LSU in a negative light? I highly doubt it.

Had I been in the bar, I would have more than likely given him more "press" had he NOT taken up for her. I would have thought, "Please....is this "wussy" one of lsu's "finest?"

Col Reb, you're officially banned from any bars in Baton Rouge.... We don't need you instigating fights between our football players and bar-goers. :thumb:

I heard that Dunbar said in a radio interview that Chase will be disciplined and also that he was very disappointed he was out at 2 in the morning in the first place. I believe we'll see something happen to Pittman no matter how the scenario really played out.

If that is what Dunbar said, about being out at 2 in the morning, I agree. If you put your self in situations where bad things can happen, bad things tend to happen. Cmon, what good can come out of being at a bar at 2 in the morning?

Having a good time and picking up girls. It is not near as fun at 10 o'clock as it is at 2o'clock. If you can start some national movement to get everyone to go out earlier and get the fun happening earlier, then more power to you. I wonder why LSU fans love 7 o'clock games more than 2 o'clock games? Same sort of thing. It is all about the environment. He is also a college student and that is a big part of college life (being out at the wee hours of the night). So you can do it but he can't?

Never said that. I just dont understand why people have to be out at 2 in the morning. I'm in college, I dont feel it necessary to go to a bar and get wasted till the wee hours of the morning. Its not what I do. If that what you and everyone else does fine. It's not me. I'm not trying to be a jerk about it, but bad stuff can happen when your at a bar, with a bunch of drunk college kids at 2 or 3 in the morning.
