Bruce Pearl sh*tcanned

Its been in the back of my mind for a while. I would.

 

Ironic isn't it? Wasn't Bruce Pearl the one that ratted out Illinois for recruiting violations when he was an assistant at Iowa?

Anyway, Tennessee's A.D. is just knocking em out the park left and right isn't he?

 

I don't see how he survives this. I think he ought to be canned, too.

 

Purely a CYA move to fire him at this point. Even more obvious in light of the AD's "Tennessee takes on the world" attitude only a few months ago.

 

The 2 biggest sports at Tennessee were cheating programs under this AD.

 

DISCAIMER: I AM NOT A VOLS FAN, but wasn't Pearl's violation very minor in nature. Lame Kitten, though, definitely a cheater, amongst other things.

On a side note, they do play Alabama and Florida every year, so I am a Vols fan on those two days. Unless it's in LSU's best interest for some reason for them to lose either of those two games. In Florida's case, I still don't know if I could pull for 'em.

 

Started minor enough but then Pearl livened things up by telling a whopper to the NCAA. 10 major basketball violations later you have "Hara kiri."

 

And I wonder if he still would have kept his job if not for that bump violation at Oak Hill Academy. I mean how stupid (or indignant?) do you have to be? Just days after crying on TV about lying to the NCAA, you commit yet ANOTHER violation. What a moron.
